Expert Technical Legislation and Homologation f/m/d

Part-Time also possible - from 20 hours/week

 

Would you like to experience the rapid technological development in the innovative mobility industry and provide technical and legal support? Do you have a talent for organization and want to investigate legal trends and their impact on products and services? As an expert in technical law, you will follow the legislative process, particularly at European and international level, analyze drafts, prepare status reports and provide company-wide support in the implementation of legal requirements.

  

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Central point of contact for global technical legislation in all vehicle and drive categories, including with a focus on ADAS, AD and emerging technologies (AI, cyber security, data protection, etc.)
  • Research in the team on trends in global legislation in mobility, energy, environment and emerging technologies
  • Maintaining the central legal database for global technical legislation and conducting impact assessments of legislative amendments
  • Actively monitoring and analyzing the activities of legislative institutions such as the EU, UNECE, EPA, CARB and NHSTA and other key institutions worldwide
  • Dealing with complementary topics such as sustainability, life cycle analysis and green industry, etc.
  • Implementation of active knowledge management through targeted workshops, training and educational initiatives to make legal requirements accessible and understandable for various stakeholder groups
  • Preparation of impact assessments of international legal acts and political developments on the mobility and energy industry and AVL's products and services (e.g. EU Green Deal, Free Trade Agreements, AI Act, etc.)

 

YOUR PROFILE:

 

  • Completed education (TU/FH or comparable) with a focus on mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering economics, electrical engineering, energy and environmental technology, natural sciences or completed law studies with a focus on European law, international law or business law with a technical background or similar
  • At least 3 years of experience in technical legislative analysis or homologation and/or certification, preferably in the automotive industry or in a technology company
  • Analytical, solution- and service-oriented mindset
  • Accurate, organized & independent working style
  • Pro-active communication and team player
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office and experience in dealing with online research
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, other foreign languages are a plus

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €63,000.00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
